One Month

That was fast.

Today was Ray’s actual one month birthday; I miscalculated in my last post.  Oops.

Ray had is one month checkup today.  He’s healthy in all manner besides his little ear, which failed the hearing test.  Can’t say we’re totally surprised to hear (ha ha) that there’s an issue with that ear, but it’s still too early to tell what exactly is going on.  We’ll go see a baby ear specialist in the next month or two, and figure out what we need to do to get him hearing perfectly from both sides of his head.

When Ray was born the first thing I noticed was his little ear.  Now, I don’t see it at all.  He is totally adorable.

It’s been snowing all day here in Kanazawa, and coupled with some wine, this night is nice and cozy.  So enough of this blog nonsense!

  1. I can’t believe it’s a month either. I can’t really see the ear. When my nephew Nate was born, he had two toes that were sort of joined…and no one had noticed! I pointed it out to my sister. Not that it’s a problem in any way, unlike the ear situation, which I am sure will be taken care of with no ill effects.
