I started class today and it felt good to be back in the classroom. While I was working Chieko and her mom ran around town looking at cherry blossoms and eating sushi. Chieko and Ray came to my office after, and spent about an hour while I was waiting for my office hours to expire. Naturally, I paraded Ray around, showing him off to my colleagues. He was pretty tuckered out by the time we got home and promptly passed out on Chieko’s lap after eating.
Tomorrow is going to be absolute torture — 70 and sunny, cherry blossoms kicking. I can think of lots of fun, outside things that I would rather be doing. But such is life. I can’t complain about having after a two month vacation, but I wish it didn’t get so damn nice the moment I go back to work. At least there’s a little daylight left when I get home in the evening, and the weekend looks decent. That is all.
